New generation of 10x85 and 10/14x85 1500V gPV cylindrical fuse-links
A new generation of photovoltaic cylindrical fuse-links with nominal currents up to 32A and rated voltage up to 1500V is now available, with gPV characteristic for protection of solar panels against the reverse current. New fuse-links have a lower power dissipation and higher breaking capacity up to 50 kA. Size 10/14x85 has a patented design for interrupting in case of short circuit conditions.
ETI has been on the front line of gPV fuses' development since their beginning in 2007. All the acquired knowledge in subsequent years was used to develop the new generation of cylindrical fuse-links with nominal currents up to 32A and rated voltage of 1500V DC and an extremely high breaking capacity up to 50kA.
Dimensions of 10 x 85 mm fuse-links have proven to be effective for rated currents up to 20 A. Higher currents required a wider ceramic base with a diameter of 14 mm and a customized contact that expands from a diameter of 10 mm to 14 mm. Therefore, all fuse-links are compatible with 10 x 85 mm fuse-holders.
The new generation of fuse-links also boasts an extremely low power dissipation, which is among the lowest in the world.
By using a ceramic housing, we also contribute to lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to manufacturers using housings made of melamine resin.
